to give a gift that you may not normally splurge on because you really, really want it too?
Steel Battalion would be an awesome gift for my s.o.- it would also be a great gift for me.
Since we live together, I wonder if Santa could simply bring it to both of us.

You know your family hates you when...

they are myspace pals with your abusive ex-husband. Really, wtf? Granted my family is non functional on the best of days, but wow, really? This is the man who threw a bloody ironing board at his son, who held a gun to my head, broke into my apartment twice after I left him and was busted on tape jacking off to the computer with his kids running around. This is the person they congratulate on his impending wedding and call a good catch? I'm debating between writing them off, telling them to screw off or sending them the plethora of transcripts from his various abuse arrests so that maybe they will finally understand that _anyone can lie and look good_(fuhduh). Thank god they're christians, otherwise I'd think they were screwed in the afterlife.

It's not quite giving birth but it's a hell of a lot less painful. Happy birthday blog. I look forward to many fun times, possible temper tantrums and a myriad of colorful encounters.
